hey man with all due respect. You are either super rich, or not very smart. I would have put a turbo on that RSX soo fast. I mean even a Jackson racing supercharger and You would have been faster than the cobalt sssc.

eh, im kinda rich, and kinda dumb...i didnt buy the rsx at a "dealer" price...needless to say, i got it alot cheaper than i should have. plus i got an awesome deal on the cobalt...couldnt pass it up...

and fyi, you cant just put the jackson s/c on there and be really fast. takes a smaller pulley and injectors and header/exhaust just to get to 300whp...costs alot, plus tuning

turbo is a different story though, but ive never really been comfortable with turboing this car. to much could happen and i dont know of a good shop around here that i would trust to fix it right, much less install it. ive got alot of experience on chevy's under my belt, hence my decision...

and besides, the cobalt isnt gonna stay stock for long;-)

well, picked it up tonight...

and wow. torque difference was the first thing i noticed...i also noticed how useless first gear is in this thing. the 1-2 shift sucks...but damn if 2nd dont make up for it once it gets rolling...i havent taken it over 63 yet either...trying to be careful in her. also, the damn dealer i bought it from but 89 in it instead of 91 (or the 93 that we have here)...how much of a difference does that make?

pics will be up tomorrow

The octane increase makes a huge difference. When I picked up my SS/SC a couple days ago I made sure they filled it up with 93. I almost got to the point of reminding them every few minutes.

A little difference, but not much if your still in break in mode.

I'm dreading the stage kits because of the overly tall first gear. It needs at least 500rpm more.

Hey don't worry about the car trade. I was a *huge* ******* and bought a nice C4 Corvette (see signature) and when I brought it home, I couldn't sleep b/c of the level of stupidity of that purchase. Six weeks later, trade her in for a Cobalt and I've never looked back...

well kinda hard to get around potential seeing the problems that thing was gonna have...i had the second gear grind and the third gear problem as well. and while it had potiental otherwise, i didnt have the near unlimited budget or the people around here to work on it. plus, what can i say, being able to burn out through first gear when simply applying gas is very nice....so is torque...lol

now for the pics that i finally took...not the best in the world, didnt have time to find a nice spot or set it up...but anyways, here they are...

oh and one thing that i like about the 06s over the 05s is that they moved the placement of the SS back to where it was on the concept...enjoy

third never grinded, it would either not go into gear when i needed it to or it would pop out intermittenly...

these pics dont do the car justice, the lense on the camera gave way more of a fish eye effect that i thought it would...
