ya, theres about 55000 americans where i'm stationed, can't really get away from them. Lowering it is on my list of mods, but since Santa just brought Stage 2 it's gonna be a couple months. I'll get some of the interior tomorrow as it's already dark here, but the inserts are blue.

I was about to say what an odd neighborhood. Duplexes that all have a simular design with BMWs. Then I realized you were in germany, which explains the BMWs. So more than likely you are Air Force. Which explains all the homes being Duplexes and looking the same.

Actually, I'm in the Army. I got lucky though and am stationed on an Airbase. Man they have it good. As for the shipping, it cost me $2303 to get it from St. Louis, MOf to my location here in GE. I bought the balt because I wanted a car I could pay cash for and that I could drive on the autobahn and keep up or at least try to keep up with the German cars here. That and we figured it was going to cost at least that much to get a second car when we got here so why not get the car I want and just ship it. So far it's been fun, although I wish we had a 6th gear for cruising cause being legally able to cruise at 100-120 I found my gas mileage really sucks.

Well unfortunately I wasn't familiar with the LSD option and the idiot at the dealer wasn't either and since I knew I was coming to Germany I didn't need XM and Onstar(doesn't work here) so i ended up going with the Base SS/SC. That and if I wanted black it was the only one within a 1000 mile radius so I didn't have much of a choice. I agree about the wing, I don't much care for it, but now that I'm in GE the box for one of those would be too big to send USPS, so I'm kinda screwed. My goal was also to pay for the car with my trade in and as little cash as possible and come out of the deal not owing anything. Anyway, the autobahn is sweet it's cool to be cruising at 100mph and still get my doors blown off by a german built car. One of the civilians I work with has an ZO6 Vette so were making plans when the weather clears up and I get stage 2 and the CAI in the balt for a day at the Nurbergring.
Ya, I got my photo taken while doing about 20K over the limit up near Frankfurt. I was cruising down the autobahn, 4 lanes wide w/no restrictions then hit a spot where the speed limit went to 120K for about 1.5 miles and then back to no restrictions. I let off the gas and had just about slowed down to the speed limit when BAM, three red flashes to my left just a few feet on the other side of an over pass as i came under it. It sucked, but the cool thing is it won't go to my insurance and it wasn't 30K or more over so I won't be assessed any points either. I havn't recieved the ticket yet cause it usually takes 2 to 3 months to get it, but expect it will be between 75 and 100 Euro's(about 100 to 130 US). Cameras suck and the thing is these ones weren't even there just a month earlier when I picked up my family at the airport. Oh well, live and learn.

Don't hate, it was the luck of the draw I ended up stationed here. I came in day after xmas and the guy with the ZO6 hands me his keys says I can drive it to lunch if he can drive mine. Wasn't about to turn down an opportunity to do that so we traded cars over lunch and then ran um hard up the autobahn to the restaraunt. Holy crap the ZO6 rocks, I wish I could talk my wife into one of those.
