Rota Subzero's Wrapped In 235/45/17 Toyo T1R's and Mounted!

Here are the long awaited Rota's installed. The combo saved be a total of 10 LBS. ON EACH CORNER! The stock tire/wheel combo weighs 50lbs on each corner. The new tire/wheel combo weighs only 40lbs at each corner! I finally found a manly use for the bathroom scale! Excuse the car being dirty, but there wasn't enough time to wash it yet. Springs are enroute as well!

SSC springs are on the way. They should be installed next week.

Not sure on the projectors. I wish Mercury would give up though because they are sweet! I may pull the film off, and paint the insides black later on. We'll see.

I haven't really got to test the new tires out too much. They seem to grip a lot better, but like I said I haven't nailed it or carved a turn yet either. The pickup seems a little better, and the braking definitely felt better as well. The wheels at +40 offset, 17X7.5, and the tires don't rub at all. I looked to see if 245's would be possible, and I don't think there is enough room for them. I'll give an update in a couple days.

I'm not big on the polished lip. I had that on the last set of wheels I owned. The lip actually makes the wheels look smaller too. I was hoping they would be just a lighter shade in color, but no worries because I shaved 10 LBS of weight on each corner! That was the plan!

245/40/17's are too far off from the original tire size to wrok properly. The width is what would rub if 245's were stuffed in there.

On a wider wheel, yes. On the stock wheels, no.

That was the plan bro! I have a few more tricks up my sleeve still too!

The center caps are like a fake carbon fiber that looks gay. Once I modify them a little they'll make it onto the wheels. Black lugs are coming as well, I used the stock ones until they show up. More pics to come soon. Stay posted for next weeks slam/power adder installments!

Look freakin cool man . Im jealous you got the summer tires on . I ordered my 235 D3's , but I threw a set of 235/45 Blizzaks on for a month or so ...weather man said our nice weather is about to end

Seeing your car is making me want to go spoiler less again, hehe . Your car is gonna be hot with springs . How did you like the noticeable gain in acceleration , hehehe ?

Heres a pic of mine with the Blizzaks

^^^Looks great man. I like your spoiler, and I think you should keep it. We have to have a couple differences to tell our cars apart man! I get to rock the summer tires because I'm stationed in Charleston, SC bro! It was like 65 out today too! I haven't got to try out the acceleration yet due to a nice CEL I have from my messed up rear o2 sensor. New sensor and CTI header coming in with the springs next week though to fix that problem!

I think your car would be fine with the headlight housings on the stock lights painted black

no need for projectors
