FMSR Sucks
Hey all,
Stay away from FMSR, at least for shop services. I gave him my car back in May with the intentions of having him build the motor, trans and turbo kit. Well, I got it back the other day only to find out that the motor was not built correctly. He told me before I picked the car up that it would not run because it needed a starter, but after towing it to another mechanic to handle that, we found it wasn't the starter that was bad. There was no compression in 3 out of my 4 cylinders, and the one that had compression was way too low. So, we popped the head off to take a look at what was causing the leak, and it turns out my valves were all bent. To add insult to injury, I noticed that they were the stock valves when I know I ordered Ferrea brand valves and springs, which the FMSR mechanic did not even bother putting in like he was supposed to. So now I am going to have to pay a great deal more money to replace parts and rebuild the head to fix this guys mistake.

I cant believe all the crap i posted here and all the times hes been called out by me and others about is bs and people still trust and go to him. Rudy doesnt have a damn clue what hes doing. He has a whole lot of internet ba knowledge and to the average person he sounds knowledgdable. If any of you saw his purple abortion he use to have and you trusted him t o work on your car you guys are crazy. Someone who cant even do clean work on a persona car should not be touching others. Also half of his pics were stolen from other sites and descriptons were stolen from other sites. His products name branded fmsr products are relabed other vendor products. For an example he bought a bunch of werks valve springs and sold them as his own when i worked there. He even took some of the description right off daves site and spewed some more bs into.
I ripped apart an fmsr trans recently. It looked like an amature put it together i side and they re used a alreafy reused nut i stead of buying new. The trans had no reverse since the day it was new. The shifter gates had burrs and issues making the shifting hard etc etc.

It's only a matter of time before Rudy screws over the wrong guy n gets filled with lead instead of cash. I almost bought his "stage 3" transmission instead of Powells 4.45 until I did my research n found out about Rudy. It's all thanks to people like Omiotek that Rudy hasn't screwed over half the people on this site looking to build their car with performance parts.

Yea i suppose I bit on the bait, his site looked nice and he sounded like he knew what he was talking about. He took me for 15k, not too sure what I should do really...

I agree with everyone else...sue him, even if you don't get anything out of it. This guy needs to be stopped. How the hell hrs managed to stay in business on any account is shady(hell in surprised you even found his "shop")

I personally have nothing against Josh or OTTP but I would not personally add them to that list, the other two vendors have the areas of sale covered between suspension performance braking and cooling.
ZZP and Powell have both put in the time of research and development. Actual track testing and renting out of wind tunnels.

That's crazy, but he makes pretty good parts I'm happy with the products I've gotten from him, and yeah I think powell has the upper hand on zzp.in my opinion I think those are the best 3 cobalt vendors and whoever is the best will come down to each individual

Its not gossip. Its fact. there's a difference. It was at the length of just my personal opinion on who to support. Yes he is a vendor and pays to be. For that - he pays and sells his goods. The packages and payment plans he works out seem to work for people. After visiting Powell personally I support the innovator of certain products for our platform not the imitator. And for what ZZP has done for my good friend Ryan hats off to them. I personally didn't care for Zoomer's attitude in the height of ZZP and our platform but cannot knock their work. Again all my .02

There is a reason other companies carries or sells similar products that other companies sell or made.
Back to FMSR - To be honest I did look at something they had that no one else was selling and I almost order it, Till I actually came on here lol... I guess I consider myself lucky. But what I am about to say goes for everyone and anyone. RESEARCH IS KEY.
