BOV opinions

So I'll be getting a bigger turbo soon, thinking about the 252et.. Anyways I'll be needing a BOV also, just wondering what everyones favorites are? I've watched videos all over YouTube but just can't make up my mind. I don't want any flutter sound and most videos I watched had some flutter or just a annoying high pitched whistle. Which BOVs should I avoid and any installation advice? Also I have upper injen charge pipe. Any other info I should know is much appreciated! Thanks everyone.

That is compressor surge. horrible for your turbo lol.

Compressor surge is when the turbo is forced to immediately stop spinning and spin backwards. its really hard on the bearings and will cause a turbo failure.

Flutter is when the BOV opens too late and you get surge+Blow off, its called flutterdump

I'd contact the manufacturer and see if they will sell you just a spring.

normal driving yes it flutters, My paypal invoice says 11lb spring. I have a question will my new turbo be able to open it during normal driving? and will a lighter spring cause it to leak at higher boost levels?

huh, interesting. usually the 11lb spring is what stops the flutter. you may need a 9lb spring then.

usually the bigger the turbo the bigger the spring, the k04 might be too small for that BOV.
