Cobalt SS 2.4 Turbo

I just test drove one of the SS 2.4 cobalts, they seemed pretty good. Just wondering what turbochargers are out on the market for this? And I am guessing they will be pushing 8psi for stage 1 at most.

Only thing i dont like is the armrest on these things...wtf up with those? they are in the way....E brake is hard to get to...thanks...

one more thing...the steering wheel! too thick...where the controls are...any options for that? any steering wheels aftermarket that allow the stock airbag to be used? Just dif steering wheel? Thanks again

also....i don't believe there are any aftermarket steering wheels out yet capable of using the stock air bag. also, i understand your concern about the center console....are you comfortable not having one there at all?...if so they are pretty easy to remove

though i have an ss/sc, i love the center console, i had to buy it as an aftermarket part but i cant even get by without it now. It doesnt get in the way of shifting at all.

Alright it all sounds good. Yea I got like 2 months... a lil less than that maybe...to buy a new car. I def want a car im comfy in...feels good driving fast, looks good, and has a lot of aftermarket accessories. Ill let the warranty play itself out though, So i got a good 2 yeras or so of mileage.

The other car that is high on my list is the subaru impreza 2.5i...its an overall great car...it does handle better than the cobalt...i have to say, great inside n out..most likely I will pick between the cobalt ss and the impreza...both are fast...awd suby..for winter...what you guys think?

Oh i wonder...if I could order them to put the LS or w/e model DOESNT have audio **** on the steering wheel... I Just thin...damn I dont know what to call them...spokes! haha..but U know what i mean...

and most likely ill just take out the armrest...i hate that thing...the Shifter is GREAT in those...I might actually get the purple...that looks sick..black or purple...thanks guys

Regarding the steering wheel, the Coby does not have the greatest crash rating so I would leave the steering wheel, (airbag).. I have heard from my dealer that the supercharger from the S/C is comatible with the 2.4L..so why not try that?

i thinks the subsa re ugly imo but good performers, the cobalt will be easily modable and look alot nicer and im sure the console can be taken out easliy if you wanted but you could just tilt it up to have it out of your way as well, the steering wheel can be change but u cant keep the airbag or controls so just make sure you always wear your seatbelt then

Are you joking? It's among the highest in it's class, side airbags or not.

Personnally, I think the SS 2.4 handles just as well if not better than an Impreza. The suspension is tight and the car holds the road very well. I am very happy with my purchase of a SS 2.4 witht he manual tranny.
