hahn stage 3 ?

I can't tell from the hanh site and I tried searching but probably didn't know what to put in the search field. Does the stage 3 and up kits include the adapter plate for the sc delete or is that something that needs to be purchased seperately? Also is the pulley adapter a seperate item

No it does not inlude the adapter plate.

level 4 and 5 include the intake manifold..

level 3 does not, and would require you to fab up or buy the sc delete plate.

And they do not sell the pulley adapter either.. Really, you should go with the intake manifold so you can compeltely remove that belt and pulley system to run a simpler one.

X2 go with 4 or 5 if you are scared of the price of the 4 or 5 give em a call i paid considerably less than what the listed price is!!!

i actually made them a "offer" which they "accepted"

yeah i spent a few hrs on the phone with the tech speaking of completely unrelated issues (like engine build)

and they were the ones to eventually figure out why my car wouldent start... i had the camshaft pos sens off by a tooth or two once the car actually started it ran so good on there canned tune i never even needed to call back...

+1 hahn

Whats up with the oil solution? I heard you dont need to drill, but then i heard from soneone else you do...

I dont have the money to have someone do the install, im hoping it was pretty straight forward, unbolt then rebolt (i know u did the whole engine build, you dog you)

Have you done any runs yet? I wanna see what the whole built thing can do on a hahn kit...

I figured as much. The only reason I had thought of going stage 3 is that I may be a bit short of the stage 5 and thought at least with stage 3 I could remove the sc and sell parts to get the rest. At the same time I did the math and know the individual componenets are more then the package. Sounds like the next step is to just be a little more patient for about 2 more weeks tops then call them up and see what sort of deal I can get.

no runs yet car is in the body shop now...

yeah you have to drill the water pump cover its not hard and its 4x10mm bolts... (its a vent to make the drain line not back-up from being under the oil level)

even with building the engine and all id say it was all just unbolt and bolt up... even swapping the pistons was a breeze...

Ive read alot of people say this is the EASIEST car they have built, ever...

So im not drilling into the block or anything? water pump cover sounds fine.. but... ive just never been sure about those kinda things..

Body shop? Sounds prettty

AEM came out with a new digital boost gauge / controller.. I cant wait to jack it up to 20 psi...

With the way the piping is ran, is there anyway to make the intake into a cold air? Or is it in a nice place to maybe put a scoop on the hood and use it as a ram?

its headed for the front headlight but you would have to remove the washer bottle so i just cocked the filter to the side a little... i have a feeling if and when i hit the track, i will have so much power already i wont be looking for little thing like to remove the headlight for colder air or anything, since the swap i have never ever seen iat-2's above 100 degrees never even close they stay in the 40-50 or what ever temp it is outside it stays.... and when im getting on it it only drops thanks to a 3gph methenol nozzle... i have seen iat-2's as much as 20* lower than the ambient temp while spraying meth

people dont seem to realize why a car maxxing at 285 on stock cams and full boltons with 2.7 or smaller, switches to turbo runs the same boost pressure and made 35-50 more whp...

just the colder air alone is making huge power increases... and then remove the s/c that was taking as much as 30bhp from the engine near redline (with 2.7 or 2.6)

its not hard to see why turbo is so so so so much better..... and pick the right turbo and lag is not a issue with 3" exh i see spooling start at 2400 and is fully spooled to 15psi by 3000rpm and 24psi by 3300rpm that leaves me with 4000rpm of pure pulling power combine that with the longer gearing of the cobalt and you have one ******* hell of a top end monster...

for example watch as the roush pulls me till the end of third and then i hit fourth and i was clearly pulling so i let up seens we were already going close to 135-140mph

Im still waiting for my kit to get here... then while i send my pcm away, i was gonna take everything off the car. And try to have as much on so when the pcm gets back, i can just plug in and go.

Do you even use Water with your meth injection? i mean.. Thats jsut awesome.. getting cooler temps than ambient.. lol.. thats just nuts...

I am DYING to get that ****.. i cant wait.. im going to be the happiest person alive.. ive never driven a car like this one is going to be.. my first turbo..

have you fared well against the sti's?

I need to bump this for more info. If I go with stage 5 what else do I need. I know I could prob call but I want to know what extras I might need to budget in before bothering them.

Mainley needing to know what mods are needed on the belt for the alternator.. I'm really hoping that I just need to get a diff belt.

There are a couple things you need to get in order to get the pulley system to work right... costs about an extra 150 bucks or so.. maybe less...

to be honest I can't. They only release the information when u buy it. You can pull it from any 2.2/2.4 though it's nothing special.
