HE or Meth Kit

Ok so i have 2.8 pulleys and 60lb injectors on the way, I know my car is going to start heat soaking so i need a cooling mod, which would help more, Heat Exchanger or Meth Kit. And how much would they help if i got them both?

Meth is better for when you are using it. HE is better for overall driving it will consistently keep your intake cooler. I would do a H/E before meth...

But he would be heat soaking at WOT for the most part so meth would work better than a H/E?

will you be tuning for the meth? If so, get meth.

I hate saying this over and over again but an H/E alone barely does anything. It works best wen used with a dual pass. Meth is still better than both of those combined.

so you say just a H/E will have more cooling effect than a meth kit?

no. I was disagreeing with him saying a H/E has little to no effect.
meth (when tuned properly) is a better mod than cobra H/E
and similarly, H/E is a better mod than dual pass.

IMO dual pass price vs performance is terrible.
id never waste my money on it unless it was the cheap home made version.
the data backs it up time and time again.

meth > HE > dualpass.

If you have the logs I'd love to see them. But,if you doubt the dual pass I have logs to show my IAT2's raising 11 yes 11 degrees during a 3rd gear dyno pull. That is with a turbo of course. With the 2.8 SC they raised about 20 degress on a 4th gear pull.

At any given time I can pull over and touch my intake many and it will be cool to the touch with the charge pipes too hot to keep your hand on.

I useboth dp/he together and they compliment each other. Meth is still better than both though.

This is very helpful. gotta question tho.... No "local" tuners here, the nearest is on the east coast of florida, so is there a "safe" mixture of water/meth to use until I can get a tune? I heard a 50/50 mixture is okay to use, but I would like to confirm that. I'll be gettin the he w/dp first, then meth.

Also, are there any other cooling mods besides these three things? I'm gonna give stu's cooling res. upgrade a try, so anything else besides the things listed?

every single piece of evidence you just quoted is insubstantial, and subjective.
ive had my IAT2 go DOWN during a 3rd gear pull, yup....down. whats that prove? nothing.

dual pass is not better than HE.
not even close.

That's what I needed to hear. If I decide to order your 2.8 and 60's kit (OTT stage 1 I believe?) would it be possible for OTT to tune for meth for me? Will pay whatever I'm quoted if it's possible.
