This is pretty unrelated, but does your buddy have to pay for the damages to the other guy's vehicle? I'm not really sure how this works at a drag strip.

That is a good freind of mine named Frank Likert. He was racing the truck at lightning fest 2 weekends ago. The frame was hurt preaty bad and is now fixed.. over the winter it is getting a set of 4v heads, hogan intake, 16 160pound injectors, and is being put on alky.

When your on the track it is every man for himself. If you look at the first pic Frank is sitting on the wall in the white shirt.

Yup, unless you get track insurance it's every person for him or her self. In some VERY VERY VERY rare cases if the other driver feels so compelled, I've seen them pay to get the other car fixed.

a lot of people that are in the race scene have told me that turbos are always the ones to wreck at the track , they said something about letting off the gas and turbo not being done spooling so it keeps accelerating and the drivers lose control , anyone wanna tell me if this is true or not

Ya we found on but wont get it till next month. We are going to have it going hopefully for the shoot out on the 20th. We are hopping to reset the record again. If the track will hold it is should put down a mid to low 7

Ya there are a few out there. In fact this on is the second fastest lightning and is the only on that carries a 25.5 cerd and still mantans the factory computer.

JL also has twins 75mm plus nitrous and is somewhere around 3000 pounds. Frankies truck is still on leaf springs. and is 3600 pound. JL is has a four link and he only runs 8.70s.

***updated***
Just to let everybody know. The truck is back running again. It still has a dented driver door, a dented bed, a crushed bed side, and Flat black front end. We are taking it to our local track to see if we can get the EFI record alittle lower. We have work our butts off since the wreck and now it play time. If we can get the 60' down to what we did in KC, were hopping to see some midd 7s in the 1000.'

He's really lucky that red truck turned him or that black truck would have went head-on into the guard rail and surely totaled the truck, and probably hurt the driver. I'll bet the driver of the red truck was not real happy, but that's racin'.
