lol hell no on your powertrain warranty... engine, transmission, etc. You might be able to have warranty work for other things on the interior or something though.

Could get away with it if you took it all off and put it back to stock before taking it in for warranty if needed.

lawl.....Nope, definitely not. Your warranty would be gone with a Intake if you run into the wrong dealership.

I probably should have been more specific. There are two types of SS, one with a turbo and one without. Is it possible to take my car to a GM authorized repair place and have them install the factory issue turbo without effecting my warranty?

Well..... Gm does offer a 3 year powertrain warranty on crate motors right? Whats to stop this guy from buying an LNF and having it dropped in by his dealer or somebody else? It'd probably cost more than a turbo kit, but last I checked a brand new LNF was 3500 or something like that? Arent most turbo kits somewhere between 3k and 5k anyway? I'm sure you'd need a few more parts to get it to work but if you REALLY want a warranty thats something to think about.

He'd pay more getting that to work than he would trading in his car and buying an SS/TC.

I dunno, for example even with an ss/sc, IF I realy had my heart set on an LNF and didnt care about the other new improvements in the ss/tc, I could either A) get about 6 or 7k les than what I owe selling private sale, or lose 8-10k trading it in, and pay just slightly more than what I owe on mine to buy an ss/tc. So to upgrade I'd need to borrow atleast 6 or 7, probably more like 9 or 10k to do it. If I baught an LNF, I could have it for around 4k or a little more shipped here (didnt look at the exchange rate lately, might be a little more) and if I got a local shop to doit, it would be in for less than 5k.

That being said I thought my car was fine the way it is and baught a 2008 Yamaha Grizzly 700 FI on monday, lol.

What people need to learn is these cars are not easy to swap out major components in. The 2.0 has a PCM while all other models have an ECM, trannies are different and have different requirements. Electrical systems use different sensors between the models as well -- so that isn't even easy. Have to replace wiring as well as sensors, intakes, etc., etc. Swapping a 2.4 in place of a 2.2 is not an easy "drop-in" either. Swapping a manual for an auto isn't simple because the auto uses a TCM that works with the ECM (2.4/2.2 models).
Yes, it could be done with LOTS of money and IF you could find a dealership that would go through the trouble! Warranty...just new parts warranty and probably ONLY by the dealership you paid to install it -- again IF you could find one that would.
If you want a turbo and warranty, trade yours in. If you want a turbo and don't care about your warranty get an aftermarket turbo set up (Hahn, Garett, etc.) that provides everything -- including the ECM upgrade/tuning.
