S256 vs S257sxe?

Does anyone know if this two turbo are compatible in terms of switching from s256 to s257sxe? Without changing anything else.
the s257sxe sold in zzp I'm referring to.

Thank you.

Car started smoking from exhaust and engine bay.... Yeah, tell me about it. Just found out, night time.
Try to find the source of the smoke, and it seems coming from the turbo section, couldn't see under the turbo blanket.
Haven't check oil, and coolant looks good (haven't gone down).
turbo seals? Or something else. Car idles normal. Drove around parking lot with no issues, haven't gone on the road.
Color, grey from what it looks like at this moment a night.
Smell, burning smell.
Leaks, couldn't find any at the moment.

Note, I found all this on my break at work while I move my car from one spot of the lot to a closer spot.

The s257 should be a direct bolt on replacement.

Thank you very much

By any chance know the difference between both?
Zzp doesn't sell s256 anymore, besides they are over $1k and this is the second one that I'm on.... On a period of 6 years lol

s257 flows more air and spools faster. Basically just a revised compressor cover and a better compressor wheel. same frame as the s256 though.

6 years ain't that bad. Mines went out and I sent it directly to bullseye. Ever since I dealt with bullseye power themselves. I been buying turbos from them for almost everything. That even includes the big Truck's. Since most of them are BW turbos lol. My s256et has been running strong for a long time since I got it back from them.
