Will GTP S/C fit in a Cobalt?
I have a 2.2l Coblat and my friend has a GTP who is replacing the S/C in it and i was told he would sell it to me for cheap. My question is if the S/C will fit in my car or is there a way for my to jimmy rig it in there.

The Cobalt and the GTP are the same car for the most part. It will work, youll need more than just the SC so it will not be a straight bolt on for you. Youll need things like the intake manifold and the intake and other parts not just the blower.
Ohhh and welcome!

cobalt and GTP are 2 entirely different cars. the GTP has a supercharged v6, the cobalt has a supercharged 4banger, if you got the supercharged version. the gtp uses a bigger, m90 blower, the cobalt uses a m62. those are just the obvious differences
do some homework next time.

the GTP is a supercharged 3.8L V6. please explain how the intake mani is going to bolt up to a 2.2L? You need to do a little thinking before you give stupid advise out.

might not be anything wrong with the blower, someone said that said that same thing about my m62. Not a thing wrong with it, just got a upgrade.

I know, but maybe hes confusing "gtp" with "g5". I know theres no G5 gtp. Thats only available on the G6.
are u sure they made one? I know originally it was going to be the pontiac equivalent of the SS/SC.
I remember reading about it, then pontiac suddenly nixxed it, and it disappeared from pontiacs website.

ur better off getting the m62 out of a ss/sc... check junk yards and what not for a freshly totalled ss/sc... if its not fresh its already gutted... plus m90 on a 2.2 you will probably not find anyone willing to toon it since it has never been done anywhere... ive never heard of it... i doubt anyone else has... and it would cost a pretty penny to convert everything to just work with the m90. than a crap load more to tune it etc... i wonder wat injectors u would have to run with the bigger m90...
