That is a S/C Saturn Ion Redline which runs the same type of roots supercharger as ours. Here's what was said in the thread with that video "its a line off the vac/boost source on the manifold between the supercharger and the head. I have it tee off and theres a check valve on it so It doenst release any boost or vac. The line goes to a small 1.5 inch tube about 3 inches long to hold the pressure basicly and on that is the BOV. so when your boosting its just filling that tube to the 12psi and when you let off it opens the BOV. its a super weak BOV so its loud."

Considering this is something I am extremely determined to do, I don't need your opinion on whether you like it or not. I would just like for someone who has a bit more knowledge than me to explain it in a step by step process. Once again, opinions not wanted. Another interpretation, wanted.

He did all that just for a noise maker?

From the looks of what you typed he's just pulling a tiny bit of boost off of the manifold and using it to pressurize a small tube with a one-way valve. When you let off the boost the filler valve closes... which makes the BOV open.

Sounds alright I guess... but again, it's just a noise maker... it dosen't do anything for performance in any way.

 

He hasn't been on in like 3 years so it's a waste of time trying to contact him. :\.

It can interperated that 'B) annoying to you old people' assumes that we are old and since old people are offended by such remarks from young people noone should be obligated to help even if they knew the answer since it was written off via A) pointless and C) not needed.

its whatever line going to the black cylinder that has the positive pressure[boost] in it that gets tee'd off, then you need to get a low pressure BOV, and i think you even need to cut the spring in it

NO WAY, i mean weve been on these forums for 3 years, but i had NO IDEA the redline had the same engine, thats so much for pointing that out!
