"SS" and "V" Series Vehicles Disbanded
haha exactly. I've had a few of my buds say that. Same company. Hell my buddy's 05 GLI, you can spot a bunch of Audi parts since their logo's on a bunch of the engine components. I kinda fell in love with Audi and VW because of a few friends who own them.. one with an 01 A6 and the other with that 05 GLI.. and then there's a guy we know with a 10 second Audi S4. Sick as ballz.
Can't ANY of you read? Once GM gets back on its feet, they will look into the high performance vehicles again! It's not DEATH TO ALL THINGS GO FAST!!

The GM Performance Division put out alot of great cars over the past few years, not to mention all the track testing and such that they did went into developing the GM Performance Parts catalog which is a huge business as well.
They are taking away a profitable section of the company, not to mention the only positive press it ever got. Throughout the 90s and the first part of this decade they completely missed out on the market that is sport compacts. Now again they are abandoning it and missing out on the market share. Tuners put alot more money and positive press back into the hands of the company than the Volt ever will.

best looking, maybe. My dad had an a8L that had more problems than all the cars we have ever owned combined. The brakes always had issues, it smelled like gas ALL the time and the transmission would always get stuck in certain gears. It was nice as all hell and looked great, but it was one of the worst built cars as far as reliability.

Yes, but it could be quite some time before GM regains it's "financial health". By then we'll surely be fed up of Cobalts and drive real cars.
from the years of 1970, to 199x, if you bought a japanese sporty car, the odds are, it was a toyota product.
corolla SR5s, MR2s, celicas, celica-supras, all-tracs, etc.
we just get the boring crap now.
the rings are not an audi logo, that's the autounion logo.

Nissan has the z cars and the skylines along with the infiniti g which is technically a skyline, the silvias, etc.
Honda had/has the nsx, the integras, etc.
Performance is not where the money is in the US right now, at least not the majority of the country. GM needs to get back on their feet before they try to make enthusiasts happy.
well I'm hoping in 10 or so years they'll regain footing and get back to where they started... Remember things were similiar in the 70's when most of the great cars were killed off. *fingers crossed*
auto union now = audi.

By that time I will have a used ZR 1 good enough for me .

If the car model line was killed off, GM still makes replacment parts for ten years following the vehicles demise. I do not know if this same principle applies to GMPParts, but it is something to think about.
