99mpg has to be decelerating

i think inst. MPG is only available for 08 + cobalt. 05-07 is average only

Mine does that too but I am NOT driving 55mph on the freeway

I'll stick with my 26mpg at 80

Mine says around 32-40 on the highway and goes to 99 when coasting down a hill.

Alot of instant versions work like this to get "99". Go down a hill and take it out of gear no acceleration. My 2001 Bonneville SLE tops 70 (oddly enough this can be accomplished on occasion in gear no accel down a hill), an old 89 Lincoln Town car I owned would show as much as 109.

Yea, my 2007 SS/SC does average only but drove a rental LS 4 door (EW!) '09 and it had instant. You can see my sightings below.

Actually, that's not what he's doing. He has a SS/TC which has instantaneous MPG plus AVG MPG. There's nothing out of the ordinary w/ this vid. I see numbers like that all the time on the highway at that speed. Plus the 99 MPG that you saw was him letting off the gas but then it went back to normal when he stepped on the gas again.
