Smile LSJ Exhaust on LAP Engine

Has anyone done this, either the full system including headers and D/P or just the cat back? Did you notice any improvements in power or fuel economy? My car is a commuter and I do a LOT of driving. In fact, Ive had it two weeks and have 1100 miles on it and this is normal for me. I don't need performance, I have a liter bike for going fast. I just want to get better fuel economy, maybe a bit more power, and most of all I want something quiet that isn't going to drone on the highway. Also, it would probably be pretty cheap

So, anyone done it? Do you think it would give some worthwhile gains for the cost?

I'm sure a number have done it to the LAP...I know there are a lot of people who have done it to the L61. I have a LSJ cat-back waiting to go on until I find a header and dp. I wanted the LSJ dp and aftermarket header, but the length of the stock LSJ dp is too short for an auto. I'll be going aftermarket for both of those probably.

I only paid $45 locally for my LSJ cat-back. Great deal. LSJ exhaust mani's are usually pretty cheap as well. The DP is the most expensive part.

How is the sound of the LSJ exhaust on a 2.2?

Im curious as to how it sounds too. My car is a manual, so I should be able to bolt up LSJ parts fine. I'd like to do the extrude honed GMPP manifold, and LSJ downpipe and catback, and then some airbox mods and an AEM dry filter. But my car is a daily driver and strictly a commuter. I have a liter bike for going fast and making noise, so I want to keep my 'Balt relatively quiet.

Does anyone know if the LE5, LSJ, and LAP/L61 exhaust manifolds are different?

Oh, I found a video on YouTube of a 2.2L L61 Saturn Ion with an LSJ header, aftermarket DP, and LSJ Catback. Sounds pretty good, and that polished tip looks much nicer!
