A Short ram intake sucks in hot air from the engine bay, a cold air does just that, takes cold air from the outside in. A short ram will be louder because its closer to the driver so you hear it better. But a cold air is the way to go.

Ive seen a lot of video proof that intakes basically do little to nothing for a turbo car.. however all the companies claim 15-20HP WITH A TUNE.

So who knows! Id probably get a CAI so its similar to stock

I have the REV app and a Kiwi2 OBDII wifi adaptor. One of the things it can monitor is intake temperature at the MAF sensor. I have the K&N Typhoon short ram intake and what I have noticed is that with the engine running and car not moving the temperature of the air going in does rise to close that of the engine temp. However if you are moving, the air temperature drastically drops to that of outside temperature. I do not have a CAI so I have not seen what difference it makes.
