Actually if you want answers to a specific question it really helps to put it in the right section. If i posted a tech question in the street racing section people might open it up and call me a ******* for posting in the wrong section and move on without an answer. Why? Simply because they weren't browsing threads with giving an answer or may not have the technical savvy to answer your question as the question isnt in something they are used to seeing/knowing.

Is it a big deal in general, no. Did you make an ass out of yourself and make it seem like a big deal then when corrected downplay the error so that you dont feel like a retard? Certainly.

Yeah I read the thread because I thought it was a gas mileage related to a SC balt on E85.

To the op if you want tuning answers there is a section and you'll get answers faster and more than likely multiple, I don't know how many of the guys that tune for power go looking around the hypermiling threads

Instead of doing some research to trying to learn how to do this he just wants us to tell him?

30* is weak.. You might as well just max out the table at 64 and call it a day...

any help will be good guys..

Little advice I'll give you since your new.

The 100% water is going to cool very well and prevent knock but the negatives of it will increase cyl pressure and make you lose some power... because it cannot combust. You don't own a 3000hp dragster, you have no need to run 100% water.

A more suitable mixture is 50/50, a greater mixture of methanol will still cool, just not as well. Running a 5-7gph on a 100% methanol mixture will net you iat2s in the 130s. A 50/50 will drop you into the teens or 120s. Either or work well, and will keep you from heat soaking regardless of how many pulls you make. (This is on the OEM cooling system BTW)

Sorry I cannot help you with the tune... california to chicago... wanna drive out here :p

Your setup is all you perfect. Just slap the methanol kit on it and go to town. It would help to throw a LS4 throttle body on it, simple cheap bolt on for simple hp/trq gain.

Good luck

No body is going to help you with that attitude... You have to understand the majority of this forum doesn't have the slightest clue of how to answer your original question.

Pissing off the dozen or so folks on this site who've actually progressed this platform isn't going to get you any answers. (Ebristol is great source of knowledge, why upset the guy who practically brought e-85 into the COBALT/REDLINE platform.)

what u guys think
The general rule of thumb on the LSJ is 25-26* and it begins to stop making leaps and bounds in terms of power after that.

The only reason why others on e85 take it to 28-29* is to continue their overall power curve.

12.0-12.2 is a great AFR for this car, just not on e-85. According to a valued tuner on this site, anything past 11.8 on e-85 doesn't gain power. Shoot for 11.5-11.6 on E
