If you dont run the engine hard you can use 87 even though its not recommended.. The minimum recommended in the manual is 91 or better..

91 or higher. I recommend 93 if you can find it. If not, use 91 and then get meth injection to make up for the rest and gain you some power and cooling.

Where in Jersey do you live?

All the stations by me have 93. Some even have pump gas.

If you have the SS/SC or TC just put premium. The savings with using lower octane fuels will be minimum. If you're considering it, why did you buy a FI car in the 1st place?

if you are really tight on money you can get away with 89 but 91 or better is the way to go.

Use premium, nothing else. Sure you might be able to get away with using 87, but it's not worth your engine getting messed up for saving $2.00 when you fill up.

I only use Shell V-Power (93).

hi, 93 octane is better or you can use 91 octane + "octane booster" as alternative.

octane booster is overpriced and pretty much worthless.

...or CH3OH, but either way, you'd better get a different fuel pump and injectors...LOL!

GM only reccomends Prem. if ya go Stge 2. A stock SS/SC runs fine on reg. Fuel economy doesn't change from reg. or mid-grade. I get 36 highway with either. So for daily driving, save your dimes for more important stuff. MODS, then ya can start buying prem. gas.
