Exactly.....No one ever does the math, they just assume that it's way more. Those are the same people that will sit in their car idling for 15 minutes waiting for the gas that's 5 cents cheaper than across the street.

Boost=premium
For the love of Christ... if anyone is that tight on money that the difference between regular and premium busts their bank, why buy an SS/SC?

People don't say it because they feel like saying it, they say it because the damn people that built the car said put premium gas in it. They would know. You have had "problems", they just haven't been evident to you; the effects of running 87 in the LSJ have been made clear and are all over the site.

So, is it the same with the LT, or is it just the SS engine that needs 91 or better?

use 91 or better, forced induction=premium, there are some people that will tell you you don't have to, ignore them.

so if you have a 2.2 balt lt you should just use 87???? From what i was told if you gradually upgrade from 87 up, your gas milage will increase. But then again i could be getting false information.

your gas mileage won't increase. if it does, it's in your head. keep to 87 and you'll be fine.

This article shouuld help explain things
http://buzz.consumer.myride.com/u.d?...M5z9jTSEE=5341

Clif notes
If you car recommends 87 use 87
If you car recomends or required premium use premium your get better performance and milage.
Yes the SC and TC will run on 87 but you will likely loose mpgs and performance.
