i've seen the car in person, all mods are on the car.

it says suggested retail price on KBB.com is $21,688

Excellent private party is $18,985

and trade in??? $16,400

and if anyone knows cars, KBB isnt regarded as true market value, so your lookin at around MAYBE $17,000 private party for this car, and about $14,000 at the HIGHEST for trade-in value...

LMAO, why WASTE money on that when you can get an LNF for another 2 grand and 0 miles? Seriously a waste of time/money...bad color on an old technology (compared to DI DOHC Turbo) when the Turbo is on sale?

I'm sure people who prefer S/C would...yet...

im getting a brand new fully loaded (25215 msrp) 07 cobalt ss/sc with 75 miles on it for $18500

theyre not gonna sell it for asking price...thats why its so high...so they have room to negotiate...common marketing tool

internet sourced "trade in" value isn't really accurate. when i was getting rid of my balt, i looked at a used 2005 Altima 3.5SE, the dealer was only gonna give me 12500 for my 06 SS/SC with 12xxx w/ every option except the 6 disc changer. when i decided on the new SpecV they gave me 19500 for the same balt. it all depends on what the dealer is need of selling.

Price sounds about right. i'm sure the price can go down with miles on it. Willing to bet that someone could snag that for $18k easily.

dealerships knock the price up to accomodate for any trade ins or for any "wheelin' n dealin'", so they get closer to what they really want for the car while your standing thinking your getting a deal.

Dealerships are funny.

If you mod theire car, they will give you literaly $50 for every $1000 spent in modifications.

BUT...then they will turn around and sell the car for its value + 3/4 of the modification value.

that might not be brand new....it could be a demo in which case then it is....but if it was purchased titled and registered then it s no longer considered new

I'm sure someone will buy it. I wouldn't though. It is a used car and new cars depreciate a good chunk the moment they drive off the lot. It says 'Pre-Owned' right in the description under Condition.

I too think it is just so they have 'wiggle' room. Somebody will buy it for under $20k and think they got a steal on it because they got the dealer to knock off almost $2,000.

I would wait for the new LNF or find a brand new LSJ and be able to get it for much less than this car with a little 'wheeling and dealing'.
