Tell them that the stand install charge is 2 hours. They should look it up!

They usually have books that tell them what to bill the customer for. It just says how long it takes to finish the job.

Driving out of long island to find a another dealer would be cheaper then paying that shitty price, like said before install time shouldnt be anymore then 2 hours. When you go to the delaer ask them their labor charge per hour and then ask them how many hours it will take and then come up with the price. They are trying to rape you because they know most people wont take a second thought

per a tech at our chevy store... and the service writers up front... book calls for 1.8hrs so they charge for two.

the dealer i had it installed at only charged me for 2 1/2 of labor even though it took them 3 and a half. according to GM, it takes 2 to 2 1/2 hours to install so thats all they charged me for.

Try the dealer lookup at: http://www.chevrolet.com/locatedeale...alersearch.jsp

Or... try your local Saturn dealership.

I was told by a rep at Saturn that in order to keep the warranty you need to have it done by a chevy dealer.
