i'd rather have the time attack than the 272. Course i'd have to give it a paint job immediately...i dont want a track only paint job on my car

It may be harder than you think. There were quite a few cars sold at Scottsdale Barrett Jackson that were not able to be titled and legal to drive on the road. This may be true for the Time Attack car as it may not have a VIN number.

it should have a VIN. It started out as a stock SS... Excluding that possibility, it shouldnt be too hard

hmm. do you think there's a way to assign a VIN to the car? I
edit: ****....looks like it wasnt a built SS. They started with just the shell bought directly from GM. I thought they stripped a stock ss/sc to make this beast

I also wonder how much both of these cars would sell for. The time attack would be a great track car and I bet there will be some people with money that recognizes that. Some rich guy might be like wow that would be a great car for my kid to get started. You never know. Any clue on when this thing goes up for sale?

so car sold for $22k + commissions.

they didnt show it on tv, 3 cars before they went to commercial, 5 minutes later they show 30 seconds of a fantasy bid car, 5 more minutes of commercials, they show the corvette that was up before the cobalt, went to commercial again and came back right after the car sold. i watched it on speedtv.com.

as for other cobalts, the matco tools drag cobalt went for $18700, ls custom coupe went for $13750, and the 272 concept went for $22k, all those include commission.

$22k isnt a bad deal.

I hope the person who purchased it is into track days and goes out and has fun with it.
