Just a shout out to all those who have ordered an 07 - I ordered mine a few months ago - I've been worried about getting the Recaros. Well, I got the news today. In two weeks I'll take delivery of my black 07 SS/SC with the recaros. I dealt with the president and owner of a dealership who is a family friend and he said that apparently I got the last black 07 with the recaros before they become unavailable (not sure if this is really true). So hopefully all you of guys and girls who ordered are going to be thankful like myself that you'll get the recaros.

Of course, pics will come when I get it.....

Yeah, here in my hometown. It's worth calling and bugging them about......I would be pissed if I showed up to get my car with the G85 pkg and the recaros weren't there.

 

How much did your total come out to for your car (with the G85) ? I'm gonna be going to the dealership on wednesday to put an order in and I'm wondering about how much it'll be.

 

Be prepared to put down a $1000 deposit if you want to special order the car. Thats the standard rate. If they try to tell you $2000 just look at them like they are on crack. (they told me $2k initially until they double checked)

As for the final cost, I'd like to know too. What offers, how much down, etc, etc. Details please Vmango.

 

You get that deposite back though, right? Anyone have around what the price will come out to in the end for the 07 SS/SC (G85) etc..

I wish i would have gotten the G85 but I hate the recaros...they are uncomfortable.

I don't know yet...I didn't put anything down because the dealer is a family friend. I will let you know the exact price when it comes in, that's when I'll be figuring things out 100%...

If you're ordering now, though, I don't think you'll be getting the recaros........they might come back but you'll have to wait.

 

I just got a call from my dealer today and my new SS in in transit right now and they are expecting to recieve it on Tuesday!!!!

I may be the first 2007 SS owner on the board. Has anyone else recieved theirs yet???

yes almost a 3 weeks ago 2007 cobalt ss 2.4 u might have the first ss/sc though

 

After August 21 they aren't available, I believe....

Cool, I saw a bunch of 07 2.4 SS Cobalt's on my dealers lot not to long ago. I remember I was driving down the road and I saw a SOM cobalt sitting on the lot and I was like yes my car must have just arrived today then I got closer and damn thats not it .

I have everyone at work and in my family all pumped up about a new car for a while now and all everone asks me when they see me is "Did you get that new supercharged car you were talking about yet?'"

It's funny a lot of people I know said to me so your getting another cavalier huh? Like they didn't want to acnowledge that the Cobalt is cool. But when I showed them the stats and plenty of clips I dug up on the internet of SS/SC's whooping on other cars they all of a sudden changed their minds and are pumped up now too

 

Well Lordstown is right off of Route 80 which feeds right into the PA turnpike and that ends about 15 minutes from my house. About a 6 to 7 hour trip. That may have something to do with it.
