07 SS 2.4 coupe

Hey all my girlfriend is looking at a new Cobalt SS 2.4 coupe. The dealer is asking 21,000 for it. Is this a bad price or should they come down on it some? http://porterchevrolet.com/externalv...AM18B077104986 let me know what you think of it. She is going to trade her focus in on it.

Well, I'd say that would be a little high, I'd try negotiating the price down a bit, but I don't know how well the Cobalts sell in your area... To give you an idea, I bought mine in the Chicago suburbs. It's a leftover '06 SS Sedan and we got it for 18500 before rebates. I think you should try to see if they'll come down to about 19500 on it. It never hurts to negotiate the price. The worst that can happen is they tell you "no." and you pay the same price anyways. Bide your time and try to do your research on Edmunds.com and use that as leverage against the dealer. Remember, they WANT to sell you the car, they don't want to let you walk out that door emptyhanded!

I love how dealerships always put up the s/c in pictures.. Anyway by the looks of your options that looks like a good price to me but then I'm in .. I paid a hell of alot more then that for mine and I never got no 6 disk cd changer .. I find the payments are what matters.. Get them low!! good luck to your gf..

Gonna try and talk them to 18,000 and see if I can get a GMPP Performance Exhaust and tip out of the deal as well. She said she will go 19 if need be.

i paid around 21 after tax and tags. mine is pretty much loaded. 7 speaker pioneer, sunroof, airbags, auto...

i didnt really get them down that much on the price, but i didnt really have the time cuz the 0% deal was almost over. so i would rather pay a little more and get 0% then get a higher finance rate and pay a little less.

and i see you are in delaware so you are pretty close to my area of SE PA. around here you cant find it for that much cheaper. i was lookin at a red 2.4 that was bare. only had auto trans. they wanted i think almost 19 for it. just to give u an idea.

^^^^^^^ Yeah all I said to here is you just need to be able to say no thanks and get up and walk away. They should be willing to make a deal with you if need be. Also if I leave a aftermarket CD player and remote start system in the focus that she has, do you think that she would get anymore for trade?

I got mine for 17,650 and the only thing it doesn't have is power heated seats.
they can come down from 21k.

Just tell him not to BS you, you'll buy the car today if you like the price. If he still won't come down, walk off the lot, go buy a Mazda speed 3

why the **** would you buy a mazda?! Jesus Christ. anywayz, i paid 19,500 for my '07 2.4 SS with everything but the 6 disk changer (which is okay with me). you'll love the 2.4 ss. it's a fantastic car. i absolutely love mine. i would stick with that if i were you.

Cuz it's much, much faster for 23k. ???

Would I have bought a Mazda over my SS ? No, but then again I would be more likely to spend the extra 2 grand for 3speed than pay $21,000 for an SS/NA.

I walked out the door for $19,600 on mine after TT&L. And I fully believe $14,500, that's what they were advertising them for at a local dealer here for the SS/SC, but the one I got had a couple more options and I traded one rebate for a way better interest rate.

Definitely overpriced. I would talk them down to 18 at the most and watch for their tricks, i.e. giving you less than what her trade-in is worth in exchange for lowering the price on the Cobalt.

She wants a brand new car and it has to be a auto. She has no interest in learning how to driving a stick.
