I believe motivemag is wrong, and that like the HHR SS this will have an automatic (paired with a detuned engine) as an option.
I'm not sure why so many people find the Cobalt to be ugly. Well, except maybe for the overlarge headlamps. Venture back to 2005, and look at the Civic, Corolla, Elantra, etc. available then. Is this less attractive than those cars?
Yeah, I left the Mazda3 out of that list...though I don't care for that hatch of that one, either.
My main wish: a five-door version. I've gotten very used to the functionality of my Protege5.

When the day comes that i drive a sedan ill get a little more then a cobalt.. You can get a new malibu for 19k, not to mention an upper level or the hybrid for around 22K which would be comparable to the price of these...
true but those cars arent a turbo'd 260hp.
