0-60 MPH is all around the same number for all three cars. I think you'd take the Magnum (unless he's got work done to it - those V8's get real powerful, real quick). You should be able to take the G35, all things being equal.

With a tune you should be able to beat both fairly well.

tune and rape him.

and i think your refering to a g37?? (unless they made the g35 in 09)

Regardless, G35's are very heavy...you will need a tune and a roll race

I raced an 06 g35 from a 45 and a 65. From the 65 i pulled about a car and a half and the 45 i lost but i was on his back tire. The g35 had test pipes and an intake. I have gm s2, catback, and intake so im pretty comparable with a stock tc.

Grow a pair and just do it, worst that happens is you lose. Show some sportsmanship. Only pussies sandbag.

So he has a cat back or down pipe as well?

Id say you'd almost take him stock...do some light weight mods just in case, no back seat

just wondering because we wont be going to the track anytime soon, i dont like street racing for safety reasons. never been to the track before either so ill be pretty shitty i presume. his G35 is definately not 09 i was wrong. maybe even an 07. its an auto and he has a catback. pretty damn sure the wagon is stock. i have my hahn intake, and i think downpipe and trifecta next. he talks up that wagon like its a Viper. its only an R/T. same with the G35 guy. hes got an LED dome light and suddenly hes driving an F14 tomcat. lol nice guys tho

If it makes you feel better, when I was on stock tune, I was never beaten by a 350Z/G35, even the Nismo 350Z became Cobalt food. Take them on a roll and you'll be good to go every time.

I can't quite say you'd be completely safe taking it from a dig though since I'm not sure how good you are from a dig.

The fact that it's an auto and an older one at that only gives you a greater potential to beat him.

you = 240whp and lotsa torque
G35 = 260whp and not a lot of torque (also weighs more)
R/T = 280whp and lotsa torque (but weighs a crapload more)

whenin doubt, check out how each car does in the 1/4 mile at dragtimes.com
make sure you click the box that says stock only though

Hunter, the G35's have 258 ft/lbs of torque. I think that qualifies for a fair amount considering ours are rated at 260 ft/lbs?

i just mean comparing the two cars...we make peak torque just above idle. their peak torque is pretty high up, and its also almost 50 less than peak HP
cobalts (LNF ones anyway) have a MUCH greater torque curve than...well, anything i can think of. 100% peak torque from 2,200rpms to redline
