Im not 100% sure, but I think she is totaled as well. The insurance adjuster is going to have a look at it tommorow, and let me know. After contact with the 8in curb there was a 2 to 3 in wide trail of Transmission fluid, a large amount on the wrecker (enough he charged me hazmat disposal) and a very large amount in the dealership parking lot where it is now....The might have laid hazmat pads underneath in but they wearnt there when I was there. As a replacement I think I might get the new 08 Cobalt "Sport" the SS without the Turbo, my ins. is going to go up enough without haveing to worry bout a turbo making it more expensive

So I got the call from the dealership today and its not totaled but it has $6000 dollars worth of damage before labor......and the driver is paying the $1000 Deductable, so as long as its fixed RIGHT I will be extremely happy

as for the rental car... my buddy here in va has had a few accidents, and he was under 21 he got a rental car 3 times, with no questions asked... i think if it is through your insurance company they don't really care...

 

I wouldn't recomend a 2.4 unless the first thing you do is get it tuned to drive like a regular car. I mean a serious tune too. BTW if you want those stripes on your "Special Eddition" Cobalt addiction has em thats where i got mine and the mud flaps are from GM.
