2.2 Automatic Shift kit?

Would a shift kit on a 2.2 auto produce the same times as a 5 speed? Thanks

Can you imagine what a shift kit for autos could do for track times, my bud grew up in the muscle car era and he says these things are the way to go

I've been jugglingthe idea of trying to tune my car with HPTuners.
I've been talking to several performance shops about it, and I maybe getting it done soon

Somebody has to start tuning the 2.2 ECM or I'm going to go nuts. I'd love to have a tune with files for multiple octanes, i.e.an aggressive tune for the weekends running on 91 or 93 octane and a "stock" tune for day to day driving that would run on 87 octane. That and the auto shift kit.. I think (hope) its possible.

It seems HP Tuners will be the way to go. I am waiting until the package also supports the engine.

My bud is buying a 2.4 auto, cause he says with an eventual shift kit, it will nail better times than the manuel
