Man i wish it was the v6... it just the v4 2.5L although that car still had some jump believe it or not, it held it's own out there.. And that thing has been SOOO reliable for the 5+ years we've had it.

If your a decent driver you should have no problems. I ran my stockers all winter last year. The only real problem you may have is your driveway. Dont even bother trying to move it if you guys get an ice storm. As light as the car is, tread pattern, and hard tires, you have to be a good driver. The cobalt likes to float in snow. I had to drive to work one morning in 6 inches of snow. Follow the tracks, and when your car starts to pull when you hit the unpacked snow, just go with the flow. Dont over steer. No major corrections and youll be fine. I did get some curb rash on my tires though. Of all places, in line at a touchless carwash. They didnt plow their drive, and when i was trying to get closer to the teller thing my ride slide off the hardpacked snow and slide down onto the curb. Nothing like know no matter what you do your gonna rash your wheels getting outa that spot.

With that kind of hill......you're fucked. You will not be able to get up it, and if you did....you are going to slide down it uncontrollably.

I drove my redline with the dunlop sp9000 through 1 NE Ohio winter and it sucked. Moving wasn't bad, but stopping was a whole nother issue the car slid a bigilion feet every stop.

I think the Lops are worse in the winter then the P-zeros though.

well i know im only 18, but still, i actually know what snow is and can do, like posted before i practically live snow, my father and my uncles all have snow plows and go every winter, and when i was a kid, no joke i built little snow plows for my remote control trucks, but i can have my friend david who was with me that night and also matt tell u how i was driving, but yes of course i drove slow and used the transmission to my advantage, my dads trucks have engine brakes so i just apply them and they slow down by themselves

sorry man. wake up before you kill someone please.

it has nothing to do with your leet skeelz
the simple fact is, there is NOTHING you can do to stop that car within a safe distance on those tires in an emergency.

Period.

yeah i know the tires suck and all, i did slide here and there, but if u really needed to drive you can, just gotta use the low gears down hills to slow u down, tap the brake, and to speed up dont hit it so hard gently speed up

I drove on my Stock Conti's last year...had no issues...it was fun taking my car into empty parking lots and power sliding it...

Now I have 3 Toyo Proxes 4(UHP All Season) and 1 Bridgestone S03(Summer tire). I got the Proxes used but the tread is still good, I put a hole in the 4th one mounting it and needed a tire to put on and thats all I could get my hands on...

When I get them money I'll probably buy 2 Brand new Proxes 4's

of course you can get around.
everyone knows that.

but your not getting around safely, or in control.
its the fact that your risking yours and how many countless lives because your to cheap to buy the correct safty equipment for your car.

Tell me something.....do you think you would enjoy jailtime?
what do you think is going to happen if you are cruising along and a kid jumps out and you kill him, because you have NO stopping power on those tires
and in the investigation they find that you have HIGH PERFORMANCE SUMMER ONLY tires on your sporty little car, driving around on ice and snow.

Time to wake up kiddies.
your all happy to spend money on your go fast ****, but theres other things in life that have to be bought too.

I drove through 8 inches plus on the stock tires at least twice. It isn't fun but if you are careful, you should be okay.

wow.
just wow.
the urine levels in the genepool are getting way to high.
its not "should be okay" to risk the lives of everyone around you sharing the roads with you.

Some of you obviously just dont understand the value of human life yet.
one day when you grow up a bit, youll realise how mind boggling it is to go out on the streets driving a 3000lb weapon, with no true control over it.

if a kid runs out in front of your car, regardless of road conditions, theres still a chance your still gonna run the ****** over... Besides the people here doing all this street racing make our streets a hell of alot more dangerous than someone not using winter tires... Take a deep breath man,,
