I accepted delivery of my 2007 Chevy Cobalt LS around March 7th, and since then I've put roughly 2000 miles on it. That's just over a month. Is that fast for a new car? How many miles a month do you guys drive?

I'm not too overly concerned because it's a brand new car and I'm sure it can handle a lot of driving, but I don't want to wear anything out too quickly either if I can help it.

Everything should be okay if I stick to the scheduled maintenance right?

When I had my car on the road I was doing 3000+ a month.

 

I've had my car for 2 weeks and I've put 1,000 on it. I'm in the same boat as you. As long as you keep it up, it should be ok. What's going to happen is going to happen when you get to a certain milage anyways, right? We're just building up a lot of miles Really quick. I'm going to have to cut back on driving some. I'm not trying to put 24k miles on my car the first year I have it.

 

I have 9000 miles on my 07 ss/sc and I bought it in novemeber, jsut remember as long as you take good care of a car, it can last forever!

 

I got mine on September 1st and I have almost 10,000 miles on it already!

 

I am at almost 14 months and have 25400 on the clock.

 

bought mine in jan and have racked up about 5200

 

2,300 miles in 5 months. Lots of snow and I have a street bike that I use. That way when I go to sell it hopefully the miles will make a nice selling point.

05 bought in April 05 has almost 31,000 and my 07 bought on Oct 4th has 10,500.

 

I got my car APRIL 2006... 1 year later... today... I have 26000.

 

11 months and 22000 miles here, soon to buy an old wrangler for the winter months though

 

8 months 10,000 miles

 

11,000km (or about 6,600 miles) in 12 months

Ive had my car for nearly 7 months and just rolled over 3000 miles. I only drive it to work and back. Sometimes a little crusin. I havent even changed the oil yet. Still have 13% life left.

 

well i brought mine in july '06 and i have 14,500. i thought my **** was bad..hahahaha

dude, change ur oil!!! lol....its 3 mos or 3500 miles!!! i kno its says 13% life left but im sure the oil needs to be changed.

 

i bought mine sept 5, 2006 and as of april 11, 2007 i have 14000+ miles on it. As to answer your question: just take care of it.

 

I've had mine since April 29th of last year (coming up on 1 yr anni!) and I've only put like 8800 on mine. I thought I drove a lot, but I guess I didn't!

 

I've had my car since July 1, 2006 and I have 6420 on it. I guess I don't drive as much as most. lol

 

I've had mine a year now and only have 9,400 on the clock. The dealers say that 12,000 a year is the norm.

 

i bought my 07 cobalt ss/na on 0ctober 3rd, 2006 with 500 miles when i got back from the dealer which was 1+ drive from were i live and npw i got 11,400. that's about 1,900/month, but im a soda rep...so i drive from one account to another....not bad avg per yr is 12,000miles a yr...im gona put like 15,000 ...not bad i guess

 

I have had my a year and half and i have 5500 miles on mine but it had 300 when i bought it.
