has anyone here heard the official number of cobalts, all trim levels, that gm put out for the 05 model year? i still have yet to see any official numbers, i had heard gm was to put these numbers out in december.

 

It'd be interesting to know, I rarely see any SS/SCs on the road.

 

I myself am curious as to how many Arrival Blue LT coupes were produced for 2006. I've never seen another one.

 

Is there anything on the vin or any where else that would tell you what production # you have?

When I was looking for my car last summer I wanted g85 so bad.. but it was impossible to find. An 05 Arrival Blue g85 SS/SC is the rarest cobalt.

I guess 2/3 isn't bad

Actually I would guess an 06 Arrival Blue with G85 since they only made them for a couple months.

i have an email out to gm asking for a breakdown of all models and colors, well see if they actually answer the email or not . i agree the blue g85 had to be rare, i tried for 2 weeks to get one, my dealer could not find one anywhere, then found one in DC. said they would go get it for a grand....i have a red non g85....but now wish i would have paid the extra grand to have it.........
anybody else have any ideas on how to get the actual numbers, from what credible source other than gm? im hoping gm will get back to me, at least to blow me off anyway.......

what are you using as proof? not calling you a lier, just want to know where you got that figure.
a friend of mine said he seen it someplace that there were less than 1500 SS/SC made in 05 making it a pretty rare car.....but i have no proof of this, so thats my quest. but 500 in canada and 1000 in us would seem fair estimate then......need more info damit!!

 

When i went to the chevy dealer, i asked them to get me a black one w/red inserts. They couldnt find one anywhere. I think that they are rare. I had to settle with a red w/red inserts, but i think i made a good choice now.

 

Yeah, rarity is reason #2 that I don't have G85. The only color I wanted was Arrival Blue but no place around here had one w/the performance package. Ordering would have made me lose the dealer incentives plus with the added cost of G85, it would have made the car a LOT more expensive.

 

Would a 2005 yellow with yellow inserts be rare?

 

Notice how i said "believe" because my delaership manager told me so. I trusted his info because he seemed to be the only one that knew about the car at the time.

 

Unfortunatly, g85 didnt exist in Canada for 2005. Plus I love 2 tone interior.

From what I heard 350 SS S/C in Canada for 2005. Alot fo 05 orders were changed to 06.

 

I couldn't get the G85 package because I ordered mine through the military overseas. Only good thing is I could get any interior/exterior color I wanted. Anyone else have black w/ yellow inserts? I have only seen 1 at a dealership and it was black with red inserts.

 

There has been a few, i dont think it was a prob for anyone to get interior colors.
