2007 Cobalt

ok guys found some info:

the 2.4 ss will go from 171 hp to 173 hp and stay at 163 tourqe

the 2.2 will go from 145 hp to 148 and from 155 trq to 152

are these specs accurate or are they off or dose anybody know

I doubt its really any change at all. GM probably just refined the list numbers to be a little more accurate to production cars.

if the torque curve doesn't change... neither does horsepower. hell you can gain or lose 2hp depending on time of day. I doubt much changed except maybe some ECU programs

does anybody know if they are going to have Aux ports for the stock systesm for such things as ipods?

I know the G5 will...so perhaps on the Cobalt as well? Dunno for sure though.

I would imagine that there is nothing mechanically different. They have likely just been re-rated because they were incorrect last year. GM has done this before. The first year the Trailblazer was out it was rated at 270 HP. The next year it was 275 HP. GM said there were no changes made to the engine or drivetrain, they simply made a mistake and underrated the engine.
