First of all I'm making this thread because I cant wait to get my 07 in and dont know what else to do with my free time at work.

I know at least a few people have ordered 07s as far back as april and so far I havent read about anyone taking delivery yet.

SO, if you are waiting for your 07 to come in, post the date you ordered, your build date, and the date you took delivery.

I am waiting for an 07 to come in but not a cobalt. I orderd a black Pontiac g5 GT with a sunroof on 7/11/06. Unfortunately the plant was on its yearly shutdown until 7/19/06 so i have a long time to wait!! Luckily i have been able to test drive a G5 even though it wasnt the GT version.

 

My 2007 Cobalt SS/SC was ordered on 6/24/06. I expect to take delivery in late August or early September.

 

I ordered mine in May, but now that the recaros aren't available now or VERY limited...I don't know what I'm going to do. I want those seats so bad.

 

I just listened to my voice mails, and my dealer called me.
They placed the order on my cobalt LT on July 11.
He said that the car will start production on August 11, and should be finished by the end of that week. It should arrive at my dealer's the week of aug 22.

I ordered my black 07 SS S/C about 2 weeks ago and the dealer said it would take about 6-8 weeks to get it but it could be earlier. I have heard of one person that ordered their SS s/c in mid june and a month later it was delivered. I know that the factory turns out about 1000 cobalts a day but it just depends on how many of those are SS s/c. So i am hoping to get mine at the end of Aug/early Sept but i am not holding my breath. I cant wait to get mine but it will be well worth the wait.

 

We got a 2007 Cobalt SS in at my dealership today. Black with no options and black seats. The wheels are different, not as nice in my opinion but the radio and steering wheel are huge improvements!

 

Couple quick pics I took with my cell phone. I'm almost positive that these are the same wheels as those on the Malibu SS.

 

Any pics of the interior? Maybe its just the lighting, but those wheels look like the standard gunmetal rims in the pics. Does it have the G85 package? Curious to know if any '07s are actually getting them.

 

Just got a call from the inventory manager at my dealer. Apparently there is currently a constraint on the SS S/C and they are not being built at the moment. Whether or not its because of the Ricardos (jk!), I don't know, but I do know it means I have to wait longer...

 

on the 07's the ss emblem is raised up high again like the 05... so im going to say this is an 06 not an 07

i stand corrected thank you very much... i love the color

 

It has the same rims as the 07 ss s/c though...that lip inside the wheel...I'm not liking it, makes the rims look small

 

Its definetly and 07, it has the new steering wheel and radio. Its at Myers Chev Cadillac, the dealer I work at, I don't believe its sold yet so you can come and check it out if you live in the area. It doesn't have the G85, our dealer doesn't seem to bring them in. We just got a black SS with G85 in, but it was a dealer trade and the car is sold and it is an 06 not an 07.

Just talked to my dealer and they said my car was built on Aug. 7, so I should have it by the end of the month. I ordered mine w/ the optional decklid spoiler, so maybe I will be the first to get an '07 without the standard SS/SC wing? I will post pics as soon as I get the car.

UPDATE!

Good news: My car was built the week of Sept. 24--30th, and the dealer has it listed in its inventory! I called them and they will let me know as soon as it gets there!

Bad news: The car is NOT coming with recaros even though I ordered it way back in June.

Overall: WOOHOO I CANT WAIT!!!!

It JUST arrived around 2:30pm today, so I wont be able to take it home till tommorow, but I'm doing most of the paperwork today.

i ordered my car mid september and it just came in today. i work at the dealer got to PDI it myself. man is this car fun!!!!!!!!
