hmm if you search on hear you could prob find it
but im pretty sure that you cant over spin the blower unless your running a 2.5 pully
and i think a 2.6 just about maxs out the pully at 7k
a 2.7 should be fine

I run 7200 with a 2.8, so i guess thats about the same. Crank pulley is 6" IIRC

6/2.8 * 7200 = 15428 rpms

6/2.7 * 7000 = 15555 rpms

You also only hit that max rpm for a few seconds. Some people run a 2.6-2.5 pulley and a 7400+ rpm redline and have yet to have any blower reliability probelms.

I don't think the engine rpm's matter when it comes to overspinning the blower. That comes down to the pulley size. With a 2.7 pulley, you will have to think about getting the charged air cooler. Which means with your mods that you listed, you better start adding more to the list if you don't feel like blowing your motor.

ahh yes...it totally does. both rpms and smaller pullies effect the rpms of the blower. the the smaller the pulley, the more rpms the blower goes. the higher the rpms of the engine the higher the rpms of the blower go. with both a smaller pulley and higher engine rpms it will effect the rpms of the blower two fold.

sorry a bit confusing^

Take out the ***. Check out the graph. Should answer your question.

W/ my 2.6, I'm overspinning past 6k rpms, so I just limit the number of times I do that...
