Which?

Alright, I will be purchasing my Cobalt SS/SC in the next 14 days. I have 2 choices, and it involves Price & Color & Year of the car.

My 2 choices are as follows:

1) Get a Orange 2007 Cobalt SS/SC With Recaros (will be a bit more expensive but new)

2) Get a *Arrival* Blue 2005 Cobalt SS/SC 10,000 Miles for $16k (Cost less but older and without recaros & Blue Inserts. -- In good shape)

-- I originally wanted the blue, but I'm pretty sure I want to go for the newer one, and I'm guessing thats what you are all gonna tell me to do, but I just kinda want some persuation to help me decide easier So give you comments here, and make sure to vote on the poll.

Thanks

If you can afford it go for new. I have an 05 (really happy with it) but it is first year production for the model. Many people had warranty issues with their cars, a factory warranty is a good thing with these cars. Good luck what ever you decide.

Steve.

new if you can aford it, other wise go with the used one, so you can get the SS/SC, or if you want to mod get the used one and take the money you would have put in to your brand new car, and mod your used one. just an option.

Lots of different people have had issues with the 2005 due to it being first year. Go for the 07 if you can.

Well, i voted for 05, but only for these reason:
- I hate recaro seats

Besides that, go with the latest one! Or what about a 06 model? But latest one is better since im sure they fixed up everything... (I just dont like the new steering wheel on the 07)
I'd rather buy some Sparco seats...

^^^ My Opinion

The 2005 is probably a better value just because someone else has already taken the hit of the worst of the depreciation for you. However, no matter how shiny and well-kept it may appear, you never really know how much it has been thrashed on the roads by the previous owner. I'd pay extra for the 2007 just for the piece of mind knowing that it would definately be broken in properly, plus like the others have mentioned, it's less likely to have the 1st year model curse.

I voted 07 strictly for the fact that 05's will have more problems than on 07 not to mention LSD and brand new car.

If your waiting 14 days now to get one.. and the 2007 is an option, why dont you have them order you a 2007 blue ss/sc?

it might only take 2 or 3 more weeks then you wanted... but you get exactly what you want... and you can get all the options you want...

They don't have the same Blue I want now. The blue they use now is Laser Blue, the 2005 is Arrival Blue (No longer made) -- But I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with the 2007 for the simple fact that I want to know that Ive been the only owner and hopefully they fixed more problems. Anyhow, I don't mind the Orange, as long as it has Recaro's

I dont have recaro's lol! The only thing i took with my balt is the sunroof! As soon as I saw the recaro's, i was like ahhh gross! The two-tone leather seats are nice (i got red inserts too), just too bad they are very cheap leather! In any case, i'm sticking with these until i can get some nice Sparco seats or somethin... Thanks for the offer anyways bro!

It's a pace blue - which is gonna match the interior inserts (blue) better.. It's kind of a light blue which is going to look like this: http://photos.ebizautos.com/5933/1114310_3.jpg

I'm not a big fan of it, I'd take orange over it.

10k miles of someone else beating on your ride? *94% of Cobalt owners are hard on their ****.

*84% of all statistics are made up on the spot by people talking out their ass but you get the idea.
