what people are failing to realize is actually fairly simple. Post count and being online is not what raises your activity. It is simply a matter of fine finesse, if i may. I have tried to tell people my method of remaining a high activity member for quite some time. As one may see, i have 13xxx posts, within like a year and a half. But is that really why i have a high activity level? I, too, have been through dryspouts, my friends. "So what is the issue at hand?" one may ask. It is an act of SOPA. O.o
So heres the solution. Sopa only works via the strength of the connection it recieves. the stronger the connection, the weaker the activity level. At work, my computer, having been through terabytes of midget pornos, has a rather poor, choppy connection. Wheras my sprint cell phone, is, well, a sprint cellphone. Connectivity is poor at best. But! (BUT!! HAHA!!) this is why some members activities fluctuate so much.
edit: HOLY **** when did my activity shoot from like 99 to 12?

ive wondered if it also counts for, say, you just clicking on threads, editing details, pm'ing and stuff like that too? or is it purely post count...
idk. i post on average 20 or so times a day lol. maybe even more

Calculation of user activity
The system calculates the activity by taking the average post count of the ten most active users and comparing it to the individual users post count. This can be set to count only the last X days, e.g. last 28 days.

its not just post count. but basically it calculates the activity of the top 10 people. and then gives everyone else a percentage based on how they compare.
so in other words. you're all screwed for the month. cause i got super active.

haha
And this explains it all. Idiots posting to see there little bar raise adding to all the SPAM this site consists of.
