Advice/insight on turboing my 2.4

So right now i own a 2007 2.4 ss/na

I want to turbo it eventually. I want some insight/ advice on how i should go about gettiing a kit.
The kit i really want is the zzp one but i cannot afford that and it would take some time to save up for it.

My real question is how hard is it to piece a kit together slowly and buy parts used and how much of a cost difference would it be compared to the zzp turbo kit.

Also i do not know of any tuners around my area/ so how bad is a canned tune from zzp?

Any advice is appreciated and no i cant just trade my car i still have payments and plan on keeping this thing for a while.

My goals are to get to 300 whp range as a DD

300 whp is supercharger level and you can piece a supercharge kit together signifficantly cheaper.

You also get significally less HP. Turbo is better. The sounds, the look, the power.
