AEM Cold Air Intake Arrival Date

First of all, I wasn't 100% sure where to post this thread, so Mods...if you feel it should be moved somewhere else, please do so. Sorry.

On Dec. 30th, I went to SportCompactOnly.com and saw that they had the AEM CAI for $195 shipped. Considered the K&N, Injen, and Fujita intakes are $230+ dollars, I immediately ordered the intake. I got an e-mail back from SCO and it said that the they received my order and I will receive another e-mail in 2 business days regarding the shipment of my item. Finally, yesterday (Jan. 5th) I was contacted by SCO via telephone. They informed me that the AEM intake is still not available and they "didn't know how it got on the website." The guy asked if I wanted the Fujita intake because that's the only other intake for the SS S/C. I said no because it was mad expensive. I asked if they carried K&N or Injen products. They said that they carry Injen, but did not have the CAI from them. I told them that Injen sells the CAI for the SS S/C and he said he would make some phone calls to see if he would be able to get a hold of one for me. Today is Jan 6th and I have not heard back from them yet.

I wanted to know if anybody knew when the release date for the AEM CAI is? I'd like to know if it would be worth waiting for.

We have not sold any but i thought for sure AEM had them in stock.

You want my honest opinion? Look at the price online now @ Sportcompactonline.com ....$235.80
They messed up on their pricing and dont want to admit it. This is the first thing i thought of as i know the cost of the AEM are much higher than the Injen or K&N. Our cost is higher than 195 on that intake from aem direct.

Let me know if you want an Injen i can do 195 shipped but i can do 229.99 shipped ($30 off online price.) Black and polished are in stock.

Wow...if it can be verified that AEM has the CAI in stock and available for purchase for the 05-06 SS S/C, then I am going to get SCO for false advertising. Technically I bought that intake for $195 shipped...period. If that is the case, I'm definatley not going back. Future purchases will be from supported vendors such as TurboTech. Thanks.

Thanks!

I was going to call as soon as I left the office today, but you saved me the trouble. I plan on calling SCO and telling them this information. Very much appreciated!

hmm....are you sure you asked them about the one for the 2.0L SS S/C? I just called the sales department, and they said the only one available was for the 2.2L ecotec. She didn't seem like the brightest person there, but that's the info I got.

Just jumping back to the 2.2L intake we actally have them in stock with colors of Red, Polished, and Blue. Silver is still on order. Email us for details.

We are also trying to get information from AEM on the 2.0 SS intake system. When we find out anything we will be posting it in the forums here.
