air damn?

So i was driving into work today and without warning it sounded like my car was plowing snow. I figured it was the, what i would call, air dam. the black plastic gaurd that is underneath and behind the front bumper.

i was looking on partsdirect to see if i could price a new one out and i couldnt find where they might have something like this listed.

can anyone tell me the actual name of the part, or perhaps where to find one? Do all trim models use the same one. i have a 07' ss/sc.

thanks,
Bill

p.s. I am super pissed off too, i hit nothing.

why do you need a new one? is it broken? maybe you can just re-secure it instead of buying a new one.

yeah the ear bracket that double acts as a spacer for the primary radiator is broken. i couldnt get the car up in the air in the parking lot but i threw some cardboard down and took a look, i couldnt see how far that plastic braket goes up.

EDIT:
Found it. looks like number 10

and no the different trim levels do not use these...only the LSJ

Are you sure you didn't break an ear off the delector (Item 7) PN 22718757?

yes definitely, the retainer was still attached to the deflector item 7 with part of item 10 with it.

thank you for the help, and the part numbers.

in the winter i probly wont see too much of an issue it i take item 7 completely off, right? and then worry about it when the weather breaks? is going down to 0* after 5pm here
