For all you Jet Chip Haters

I know there are so many of you that claim that just because this is plug and play it is garbage. Don't give it a shot, won't listen to anything, just say "Its an ebay chip" or "Just get a real tune". Well I just thought of this comparison today.

Jet Chip is to HP Tuners is what BM Shift+ is to Tranny tuning.

Yes there are other options available, but some of us are looking to not spend hundreds of dollars (maybe thousands) and also looking for the ability to remove this mod. Are we going to get as precise? No. Are you going to get the same results? No. Is the "100% absolute best option out there!!!" No. But it does give is what we are looking for. Enough to make us say wow and

Just thought I would share my epiphany so that us Jet Chip supporters can stop fighting the persistent bashers.

I would love to support the jet chip but nobody that has one dyno's it. I'm still open to its usability tho

I have not seen a before & after dyno, so I can't exactly pass judgement, but I wouldn't put one on...

why do you think infomercials always show RESULTS of their products before and after?....because results sell.. proof sells, so if anyone had proof of these chips with before and after dyno's then we would all be set!

I am working on it. I got an interceptor, bought the jet chip, and was ready to do a rough before and after with atleast SOME idea. and then eventually dyno it.

But as some of you have read from my other posts.... the module that was supposed to fit, was a glitch on their webpage and they working on a new one. when I get it, I will get numbers. hopefully someone does beforehand as well.

io have it on my 08 2.2 and there is a definite difference. I donthave themoeny to take it ot a dyno but f so mone has one of those interceptors of g force devices near me we can run it before and after the chip to see the difference.

from what i gathered for the cavalier group all it did was it modified the tps signal to make the computer think it had more throttle then you actually were giving it. so end results were a butt dyno feeling thru part throttle and since they felt it part throttle they imagined it made more power full throttle... IMO those chips are expensive and usless

thank you for proving my point. the B&M is a silly box with resistors too...

like I said in a previous post.... the guy that puts LED's in everything from interior to headlights would know a thing or two about resistors huh?

agreed...dont member arguing that point All it does is trick the computer...Think about it, your plugging something INTO the wires of the ECU to alter numbers...And yes i do know ALOT about resisters, thanks for noticing

The dyno is not the problem.... at this point. The module is. Doesn't fit 06 2.2's yet.

I agree with those that want to see results before they buy one.

I took the plunge because there are no "tuners" around and I wasn't going to spend the money needed to get HPTuners. I'm also not going to go back to the dyno for this because it cost $176 here and dynoing an auto is difficult because you can't hold it in 3rd gear (downshifts and upshifts during testing).

Primarily the Jet Chip Module got rid of the lag in the low RPMs before 4K RPM -- just that gain makes my Cobalt "funner" to drive.
