ok let me rephrase my original question
i am going to switch to an electric water pump on a build and saw this. I got to wondering if this
had any effect on that or if this was something else.
this also goes with their system

If you use the first part you posted, you will need the second. The first part eliminates your stock thermostat system, but even with an electric water pump, it still needs to have a temp gauge to tell it when to turn on or off. So this is where part 2 comes into play. Again, not sure why you'd wanna eliminate the factory setup, but if you do, both parts will be needed to make it work and not overheat
My question to you is, why eliminate the factory system? Will it not work with the new pump or is it just something you wanna do?

It'll delete your factory thermostat setup which reads coolant temps and switch it over to readong block temps. I would think you'd be better off sticking to the factory setup myself since it reads the coolant. This may have some advanced high power racing only application that I'm unaware of, but reading temps off the block to determkine when to kick on the cooling fans just doesn't seem like it would be a good move for a car that's daily driven or weekend driven even.

at idle an electric pump can push more water cooling the engine at idle better but it takes a few amps to spin that pump motor so your alternator is working just as hard robbing about the same amount of HP.... + it can run while the car is off...
race set ups are usually the only reason to do it..
