Anybody try this yet?

For those of you with the 2007 cobalt have any of you removed the 2 gray trim pieces on the steering wheel if so please tell me how i can do it

I haven't tried to pull them off yet, but just based on looks I'd think they are more a 'part' of the wheel than the center part is..

Edit - Check on Pontiac's website and see if they offer it as a trim piece for the G5. If they do, there's your answer.

on my car thats where my radio, display and cruise control buttons are so i never thought about removing them

My bet is remove the airbag and that will reveal the method used to secure those bezels...

I saw a G5 with a Carbon fiber trim kit, anyone try one on the cobalt yet?

kit was at the dealer, like the yellow lightning kits on the cobalts....factory replacement. is that a standard G5 option?

I was wondering how to remove those too. I figured out that there is a screw holding them down, but I think the whole steering wheel would need to be taken apart. I didn't wanna deal with it.
