Yeah ... I was driving back from an interview today in the snow and my balt couldn't stay straight. I was all over the road.

It's the tires. Also, don't drive in over 6 inches. It makes an excellent snow plow.

I drive on ice. Thats fun. Ya just gotta go slow and defensive (which i agree is hard to do in a Cobalt SS).

I drive mine in 6+ months of Alberta winter. Ice, Snow, as good as it gets.

And my pirellis are in the garage the whole time

Its almost suicidal to drive these things in snow. gotta get some winter rubber

I drove home from the pittsburgh penguins game tuesday night when it was blizzard like conditions. The other traffic didn't care, 60 mph w/ 10 feet visabilty on the stock pirrelli's (sp?) That was a fun trip... but I'm used to driving sideways since I've been driving RWD cars in the snow since I started driving 5 years ago.

I drive mine every day. Not a lot of snow here in ohio so far this winter, but it does well with my 16's. I love snow... bring it on

I was up in Michigan visiting my parents when they had a lot of snow. The cobalt did excellent....but I have Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position All season tires and not the stock ones for the winter.

I took mine out today for the first time on snow because the last time it snowed my car was torn apart. I was surprised at how well it did actually. Granted it was only an inch of snow but I got around fine. After reading all the stories on here I was sure I was going to end up in a ditch but it went fine. I'm on the stock P-zeros too. I'm starting to think you guys can't drive. lol I'll be taking the beater next week to work though because another big storm is coming and we should get enough to turn the SS into a snowplow.

I drive in the snow each day for the past week. Even in the snowstorms, and a butt load of snow my SS/NA 06 balt with Toyo Garrit KX tires drives like charms. I pass people going over 100km/h ( canada meh ) ... Its the tires and drive that makes de difference and I don't drive easy Buy better winter tires and you'll be fine :P

i have a sedan but mine handles like a champ in the snow... i have some 800$ winter tires on mine (forgot name). Your only as good as you drive in the snow. so if you crash by yourself, you should have your license revoked. its not hard but people make it sound inpossible lol. my bros srt handles fine as well on stockers.

Just got back from driving mine in the snow for the first time. It wasn't to bad except all the hills around here which made it nearly impossible not to spin

This is my 2nd winter that I have driven it and I haven't had any problems whatsoever, in fact I am surprised by how well it drives. Of course, I have a good set of snow tires.

i thought the same thing the first day it snowed last winter. In my work parking lot going 40 kph and slammed on the brakes and the ABS went ape **** and I slid forever. Knew instantly that I needed winter rubber.

I usually pimp the AWD when the snow is thick, but I get the itch to drive the Cobalt every once it a while, and it usually just pisses me off when I drive it in the snow. I do ok until I stop, and if I stop next to a curb, when I try to leave the car wants to suck into the curb dip and just spin. And you can only feather the gas pedal, cauuse if you don't it'll just try to float all over the road and commit suicide.
