I noticed a while back that my driver door's front edge ever so slightly rubs against the fender when I open and close it. It's rubbing off the paint in a small spot. Is this a somewhat common thing or is my door just buggered up?

 

My Passenger side door did this.... But I caught it before the paint started coming off.
I brought it back to the dealer and they adjusted the door and fender so It won't rub anymore.

Since yours is rubbing off paint I would definitly bring it back to them and have them adjust it and repaint the door and the fender so it won't rust.

Yeah. It's a case of poor fit and finish, a trademark of American cars.
