Anyone feel bad for givin'r soemtimes?

I dont know why but today I was in a in a hyper mood on the way home from work and I just gave it the beans, peeled out from the stop sign and drove it like I stole it home lol.

I normally drive quite sensibly but i just had the urge to let'er rip and now I feel bad lol.. like if I were to have slapped a child I feel like I should apologize to my car lmao!!

I know I'm just being stupid and I know these cares are ment to be givin the goose sometimes but I'm just silly that way....

Anyone else ever get that? or do you people drive your car like a mad man on a daily basis and dont think twice about it?

Cars are meant to be driven.

If you don't get this feeling every once in a while... you're driving the wrong car.

Think of it like a diet. You stay strong 99% of the time, but just letting loose once in a while is good for you. just don't make a habit of it.

it's a performance 4-banger for god's sake. You paid the extra cash for the oil and supercharger. Beat it like a red-headed step child and don't look back...

I do the samething at times.
95% of the time i drive it sensibly to keep the mpg's up.
I've been keeping a 27-28 avg mostly highway.
But then there is times when i want to have fun and hear the intake and drive like a mad man then have it shift at 5k like after pulling out from a red light on a straight road.

Wow, I sure don't feel bad after I punch it. In fact, I feel great! To me, everything the car does (the sound, the handling) says that it's the right thing to do. This is what she was made for. Of course you don't do it ALL the time. But in my case, at least once a day. Burned a dude in his pathetic Toyota truck early this morning when he tried to race me at the light. Cobalt went vroom woosh and I could see him getting smaller in my rear view lol.
I'm thinking of taking her to the track some time and do some laps, see what she can really do. Now THAT will probably make me feel a little bad after say 10 laps. But hey, that's when you wash and wax her up real good and it all balances out!

You mod the car for a reason, I always drive like I stole it... The LS is slow, I have to to keep up with local traffic.

I feel compelled to "give" her... Feel bad only when I notice another
scratch or stone chip!

Fuel economy :"give" her 12L/100KM... 10L/100KM Highway.

American = (give her - 19 MPG)( Highway - 23 MPG)

You bought a Super Sport, not a slow slug. Chevrolet made a it a point to trumpet it's Super Sport/TC lap times at Nürburgring and people race these things on a daily basis. Surely you can agree that the car is quite capable of the task. You think you're going to hurt it by stepping on the gas pedal with a little exuberance now and again? Treat it with respect, but don't apologize to it for driving it as it was meant to be driven.

Normally I'm nice to my car, but I got super pissed off over something dumb a couple of days ago and did a second gear peelout. Never again. I felt like such a ******** for treating my car that way.

Jesus christ your economy sucks . I open mine up fairly regularly (so to answer the OP's question I don't feel bad 'cause I'm sensible about where I do it and what speed I get up to) and my numbers are WAY lower than that....if nothing else you should have excellent compression
