well do we have any kinda pricing yet or did it not go through with the company that the hoods would be comin from? im tryin to be patient.. im just wantin an update..

 

it's been like 2 weeks already and still no word.. it'll problly be like another month til they get this thing together and start shippin them out

 

yea, i've been waiting cant really complain on how lons it takes cause im getting a discount so ill wait. its still snowing here anyway so i have no rush when i get it im proberly waiting a month or two to put it on anyway so guess just wait

 

i want a cf hood but their to expensive..and i do want one cause my stock hood is chip up

 

just be patient and theyll produce it does take time for these things to happen

i dont mean to sound like a dick but its reality, plus it was a holiday week, thus which makes everyone busier, b.c they have 4 days to do 5 days of work i know im still catching from month end, and now i have year end next week, Not to mention the jobs i have ligned up before break up, so give them time, theyll come through like they did last year, and its if u dont wanna wait, the ss hood is already cheap from them

 

yeah i figured somebody might know a lil somethin on it though.. and it is already cheap from them but i think i'll just wait to see how much cheaper i can get it for..

 

i would much rather have the functional two inverted scoop hood on racing solutions site.. alot nicer

k...trunks are a no go for a 3 mo. period unless we place a special order. right now...no manufacturer has any available... we can place a special order with them...but we were given a wait time of 3 months.

the hoods we have gotten a GB price on and we are still waiting to nail down a shipping price as the price of shipping everywhere is starting to increase due to fuel prices.....
still working on getting you guys a good deal....
wish it wasnt taking this long...but unfortunately its out of our control.

aight thanks donna.. thats what i was wantin to hear.. would there be a 3 month wait for the trunk if i ordered that from somewhere else or is that due to the fact there is a carbon fiber shortage?

o and i have a friend that just got the ss hood from ca and it had two spots on it where the paint or dye didnt get put on it and its just white carbon fiber.. is there anythin he can do bout that?

 

unless the place you find has them in stock already, you will probably be waiting just as long. and if they do...its probably the only one they have. make sure you ask if its in stock ready to ship...or ready to order but has to be shipped from a manufacturer. if it has to be ordered, it will indefinately be a long wait.
not sure if its the cf shortage or just the lack of sales and no product due to slow sales in the past...I dunno. it could be a number of things.
all we know is no one has enough to stock us for a GB.
there may be 1 or 2 floating around somewhere but no where near what we would need.
good luck finding one.

 

ok i'll just have to check around for the trunk and probably just wait for one to become avalible later on.. i want to get the cf ss spoiler to put on it too so i'll just wait on that for now..

theres not a set price yet cuz they still tryin to find a company that can support a group buy.. thats what donna told me the other day..

 

 

we now have a manufacturer...need a locked shipping price ...^^^ above post.

there is a process to this before setting one of these up if the items arent pre-stocked...
1. find a manufacturer who is a. willing to go into a group buy with the vendor and offer the pricing which will work all around and b. who can support the demand with the product

2. shipping cost/ bulk cost for the order must be agreed upon...

As with the CF shortage which has been going on for a while... cf hoods, trunks, and anything else made with CF is limited. ive said it like 10-15 times on the forum before.
if no one has it...then filling an order of 10-15 hoods and trunks is impossible.

The trunks as i said...a no go...some companies will have 1 or 2 in stock...but that is it. we can not get them unless people want to wait for them...and since no one wants to wait and i forsee this all turning on us...we cant do the trunks at this time.

what people need to remember is we are working with a very limited product which will continue to be limited...not to mention that now pricing is going up on these products....simple economics ...
the less in circulation, the more the manufacturer will charge,...because...well...they can.
