Apexi N-1
Apexi N-1
i was wondering if anyone with a ss sc had this muffler on their car. and they could make a sound clip of it or if someone had a sound clip on another car that would kind of sound the same. I want to get this muffler for my car but i would like to hear it frist.

i'll save you the trouble, it's going to sound like this: BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHH BLLLLEEEEEHHHHH BLEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
all those fartcans sound the same, there's no difference in them...
they are either so loud and obnoxious you get all the looks, or they give your car the patented "mad-weedeater-syndrome" sound in which case people are looking around to see what kind of contraption is making that horrid noise lol
Thats why i want to hear it first then if i dont like the sound of it i will look into something else. everyone calls them fart cans and if you put one on your cobalt you wil be a ricer. Just because i put this kind of muffler on my car dose not change the fact that this is an american sport compact. the same goes for srt4 owners their cars are american sport compact just like owers in the same battle agains the imports tring to take over america.

not many people will call it a ricer, they'll just make fun of you for putting a fart can on your car lol
doesn't matter if it's a $200 civic or a $60,000 corvette... the thing i hate is when you see those shitty mufflers on cars and people are talking about how good their "performance exhaust" sounds.. there's nothing performance about it. it's a can that makes fart sounds.
if you're going to ruin the sound of the car, might as well do this to save money
call it a fart can all you want but i have heard borla exhaust on cars that sound just like fart cans too. so i dont know why some of you people keep knocking others because they like these kind of mufflers. you can call me a ricer but the fact is i still drive the same car as you.
Selfinfliction is just a douchebag, and likes to knock other people for there likes and dislikes...what it comes down to is..ITs not your car, nor did he ask for your opinion...he asked for a sound clip...so next time keep your mouth shut.. cus you obviously have nothing better to say
******** will be ********...

thanx much danjhartman that was my hole point in the first place. i like the apexi n-1 but i wouldnt go around knocking on other people because they like borla. i just wanted to hear the apexi n-1 before i go and buy it. I dont want to go and buy put it on and then not like the sound.
Ugh... I hate these discussions. There is absoultely nothing wrong with a cat back round muffler system. I have a magnaflow catback exhaust system that's ROUND for an 03-04 Cavailer on my car. It sounds fine, couple custom bends and modifications...later. I get compliments from people all the time on how great it sounds. It's not "ricey" or doesn't "FART".
You people throw these terms Rice around way too much. I wish you would seriously stop, there is absolutley no difference in any car.. It's all up to personal choice. Me, i've had both oval and round. Your not going to get much of a different tone between the two, Honestly. You can say it will but I've heard Civic's, Focuses, A Cobalt with an oval magnaflow and an SRT-4 with dual ovals. They sound the same as the round but the round sounds slightly louder because of no restrictions.. Your not going to get the famed v8 muscle sound out of either one for a inline 4.
You might as well call our Cobalts Rice because the blocks and parts of the motor was made in China amongst other things
, but we don't classify it as *rice* because it has an american domestic symbol on it. Chevy bowtie. I might as well call my push mower rice because it has a honda motor on it but it's an american mower w/a forgein motor...
Get real.....
Grow up

Although it's not exactly the right timbre, I suspect that it will sound similar to this:

On the other hand, the Pontiac GTO is built in Australia.
Hey I have the N-1 on my car, and I am going to the dyno in a couple of hours and will try to post video of it this weekend. If you want to have no resistance in your muffler there is none better than apexi. Yes it sounds loud but I want all the hp I can get, and this is the best muffler for that.!
A message to self-infliction I have read most of your posts and more than half are demeaning I think you just have anger issues, and do not respond to a question that was not aimed at you. He asked for a sound clip not an *******.
