Well... this happened to me this morning.. any help is greatly appreciated.
balt is only 2.5 yrs old and i have about 28k on it. and no i am not rough on it

haha just the clip broke. im sure you can find that in a local junkyard for about $3

 

cheap cheap. i am going to tell my mom if she would have just let me get manual this wouldn't have ever happened.. but how would i get a new one on?

this happened to me when the damn car was still new a couple years ago. I had to spend $90 to get a new knob from gm

 

wait... a whole new knob. FML i'm not getting a new one.. i'll go ghetto before i do that ****

 

You should still be under warranty...
No way a mod caused that either....

OR, if you have the 3/36K it's still under warranty, get that **** fixed through warranty!

 

i was always wondering when these things give out. the ******* shifter feels so cheaaaaaaap.

If your still under warrenty it should be covered, the shifter knob on my 5 speed came off and the dealer fixed for free

i have an extra auto shift knob that i'll sell you cheap, like 5 bucks plus shipping its black, identical to your current one.

 

don't have any mods lol
and im over 25k.. no more warranty..

I think my dealer replaced the whole knob/unit when it happened to me. I was pissed when it broke lol.
