Ok so my tech had dyno'd his car, he hit 245whp. when he had tuned my car he was so suprised. he drove mine and we drove his and my car is way faster than his.. he had estamated my car at about 270-275whp.. im happy happy happy
Uhh...no. If you keep the same set up you have now, meth will only make things safer. You're not going to blow a piston on a properly set up 2.8".

yea but ive seen vids with people that had a little over 300hp and were blowing pistons. our pistons are really weak its just not worth risking

And you aren't anywhere close to 270whp... it takes more than that to hit 270!
And meth has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with making hp (that is the tunes job), it adds some octane points, and cools of the incomming airflow!

or do some reaserch. im just saying that my tech put down 245whp and my car will beat the **** out of it.. you can pm him and ask. his name is BLILBT ( real name bill ).
the ss/sc's yes it was under-rated...everyone knew that...the LNF has not been underrated it is very close to the true crank hp which means you are in the 240whp range where most of the ss/tc's have dynoed at except yours and one other loonies.
i made 256whp on a 1000hp chassis dyno... with 3.0 pulley, full bolt ons, port and polish blower, and custom meth tune... so i must have a dud huh...
That's that typical opinion of someone who doesn't understand the way something works. Please don't confuse Meth with N2O. While they both achieve the same goals, they don't really do it in the same manner. Meth will never do anything but help your car as long as it is installed and tuned properly. It basically acts as a liquid intercooler to help control the heat from the blower, therefore allowing you to run more timing and in turn, make more power. The people that have been blowing pistons have simply "over tuned" their cars to a point where something just let go inside.
I seriously doubt any stock blowered cobalt would see anywhere around 30HP off meth without some serious tuning and dependency on a steady supply of meth.
If you were to get meth inj., it would help to make sure you keep that "270whp" you speak of the whole time youre driving, instead of the heat soak killing the IAT2s...
